Register Here College College Primary Pre School
When in 1985 St Mark's College was started, it took over the building of the former Jane Furse School. This was the home of the last of the Sisters of Mary, Saint Agnes, who lived in one room. The rest of the building was changed into the St Mark's College dining room. Later it became a dormitory for the girls until such time as proper dormitories were built.

At that stage, 1993, the teachers living in and around Jane Furse, with young children, suggested that it be changed again, this time into a pre-primary school. It was full almost immediately with 50 little boys and girls. Mrs Nosisa Ndaba, the wife of the bursar was a trained kindergarten teacher and led a team of three. The fees were R300 per quarter, which included two snack meal per day.

When the rest of the school was built, this relic of the old Jane Furse School found itself happily central to it all, and so it has remained.
